About
My name is Karen Thursby and I have practised yoga for over 30 years. I have found yoga has helped me through many of life's challenges and want to share the benefits with others, which is why I trained to be a BWY (British Wheel of Yoga) teacher. (Pronouns: she/her)
I believe yoga is for everyone and can help people build strength, improve flexibility and reduce stress.

Everyone is welcome to classes where I encourage a strong culture of inclusivity enabling you to choose how to challenge yourself to develop a practice that suits you within a safe and non-competitive environment. Yoga classes are usually held in Darlington and Hurworth with most sessions also available online via Zoom, offering flexibility and adaptability.

For Online Classes

In addition to the "Extra Information" there are some additional considerations

-
Classes are booked by the half-term but contact me for a taster session if you wish to check online sessions are right for you
-
Please join the "Zoom" waiting room about 10 - 15 minutes before the start time in case of technical issues
-
Make sure you have plenty of room to move your arms and legs and that the space around you is clear and safe
-
Have any props you like to use handy (or alternatives like belts, books or cushions)
-
Make sure your equipment is fully charged or, ideally, connected to a charger. If you can connect to your router with an ethernet cable this will help your internet stability.
-
Try linking to your TV via an HDMI cable or screen sharing to give you a bigger screen.
In memory of my Mum, Lola Thursby, who died of Bile Duct cancer in 2017. Always in my heart.
